Our Green Guide, Johnny Gaggiari, was born in Lugano, but she spent the majority of her life in Santiago, Cile. She has always loved the 2 wheels and over the years she has practiced downhill, endure, motocross and e-MTB.

WHAT WE DO

Tour: Pambio-Carabbia-Madonna d’Ongero-Alpe Vicania- S.Grato Park-Carona-Pambio (about 25 Km)
A bike tour to discover places full of energy and to recharge our bodies and souls.
The e-bikes will allow everybody (even who’s not an athlete) to reach unbelievable places and picks having fun safely.
We will start with a “coffee and Gipfel” for everybody, we will take the E-MTB and after a short briefing and a last check, we are ready to discover mystical places.
We will start our tour in Pambio-Noranco, then we will reach Carabbia to admire the amazing medieval nucleus and then Torello where we will see the famous Santa Maria Assunta Church, known for its ancient frescos.
After that, we will take a path in the middle of a beech and chestnut forest that will lead us to the Santuario della Madonna D’Ongero, place known as one of the “energetic locations” in the Canton Ticino. The local tradition says that the fresco of the Santa Maria di Loreto was found by a deaf-mute girl, who miraculously healed after that finding. Then, we will ride from the Alpe Vicania, with its huge meadows, to the Park of San Grato, which offers, during April and May, a breath-taking experience thanks to its diversity of flora and its amazing azaleas and rhododendrons collections.
There, we will recharge our body with a picnic.
Our last destination will be Carona, an ancient and picturesque town, which has been decorated by its local artists.
We will finish our adventure around 4:30 pm.
WHAT TO CARRY
Comfortable sports clothing (we suggest to dress up in layers and to take spare clothing), your curiosity, an open heart, the love for nature and animals and a camera to take beautiful photos.
